Wow the first month of the year sure flew by fast. I hope everyone had an enjoyable New Years.
We have a few things going on that I can pass along. By the time this is published we should have new kitchen equipment in the Lounge kitchen and a new menu will be available soon.
We have selected a contractor to do the repairs to the Arlington Room water problem. This work should be started before this article is published. We will also need estimates of new framing of the wall and additional drywall work.
We are in the process of obtaining proposals from Cox Communication on updating our phone system. We have very old wiring and the additional features of the phones are not the latest technology.
We recently received a spreadsheet showing the current calendar year Bingo results. What a banner year we had. This year has been incredible and I want to thank all of the volunteers that continue to support Bingo week after week. These people are the life blood of Bingo. A special thanks to Barbara Marshall for all of her dedication and time.
THANKS TO ALL OF OUR BINGO VOLUNTEERS
Once again I encourage all to attend our meetings. We meet the first and third Tuesday of the month at 7:15. If you have something you would like to have on the meeting agenda please contact me at JWSALL@aol.com.

The down payment for use of the George Mason Performing Arts center has been sent and we are good to go on our fund raising event. Ticket prices are being finalized and ticket should be on sale by the time this article is published. Remember we are having the New York Tenors perform on Saturday September 8, 2012.
We are in the final steps of preparing a 5 – 7 year major improvement plan for our Lodge property. I should be able to publish this plan in the March Horn.
